Since the old days, until now, forests and plains have been a place for different events disconnected from rules and regulations of human societies, a place for relaxing, taking refuge in, getting away, fighting, and so on. At the same time, each of us in our own city or society has an identity and personality that outside of our self-constructed environments, might not amount to our status and implied values.
The idea of portraying human presence in nature’s vastness came to me from the combination of the two factors above. In my works, no element denies the others and each of them has its own natural process. Just as none of nature’s elements are separable from the whole. Even with all of his distinctions from his surroundings, man is also part of this existence and its flow.

جنگلها و دشتها از گذشته تا امروز همواره بستری برای وقایع گوناگون و بهدوراز قراردادهای جوامع انسانی، جایی برای آرمیدن، پناه بردن، دور شدن، جنگیدن و ... بوده است. درعینحال، هر یک از ما در شهر یا اجتماع خود شخصیت و تعریفی داریم که خارج از محیطهای خودساختهمان ممکن است جایگاه و ارزشهای تلقینی خود را نداشته باشیم.
ایدهی بهتصویرکشیدن حضور انسان در میان گستردگیِ طبیعت با مجموع دو عامل بالا در من شکل گرفت.
در آثار من هیچ جزئی جزء دیگر را نفی نمیکند و هر یکروند طبیعی خود را دارد. انسان با ذهنیت تمایزش از محیط پیرامون، جزئی از حیات و جریان آن است همانطور که هیچ یک از اجزاء و عناصر طبیعت از این کل جداشدنی نیستند.

"Let’s wait and see" – 2020
For us, 2020 was almost the most challenging year in the past three decades. It was full of different difficulties. In the past months, we have lost a lot. Losing has always been a part of life, and a big part of our lives for sure, and we have gotten used to it. But humanity has always lived in hope; in the hope that the situation will change one day and again, there will be a greater share of happiness in life. Well, let's wait and see!
These days that we have had a more limited and self-restrained life, portrait painting, with a focus on studying and facing challenges, has been satisfying for me as if instead of focusing on the world around me, I prefer to explore people's inner lives.

ببینم چه میشود ...
سال 2020 برای ما تقریباً پرچالشترین دوران در سه دههی پیشین بود و پُر از سختیهای گوناگون سپری شد. در ماههایی که گذشت، بسیار از دست دادیم... ازدستدادن، همیشه بخشی از زندگی بوده است، و بخش بزرگی از زندگیِ ما، که به آن هم عادت میکنیم! اما بشر همواره به اُمید زنده مانده است. اُمید به اینکه شرایط، روزی بهتر میشود و دوباره، از شادی، سهم بیشتری در زندگی جریان خواهد داشت. حال، ببینیم چه میشود!
در روزهایی که زندگی محدودتر و محافظهکارانهتری را پیش گرفتهایم، پرترهنگاری، با رویکرد مطالعه و مواجه با چالشها، برای من لذتی است که گویی از آن توجه و تمرکز در دنیای اطراف، به مکاشفه و جراحی در درونِ افراد سوق پیدا میکند.

Ancient murals show the progress, civilization, and culture in Iran's history.We celebrate the remnants of a past culture so much that we often forget about the culture we live in at the moment, and we immerse ourselves in the memory of our historical origins to make up for the lack of civilization in our contemporary world. These murals have been restored through the lens of a contemporary painter and show the tremendous impact of ancient art on the spirit of the painter's era. These works have been done following the law of restoration and reconstruction of the work belonging to the Safavid period, and different colors show the period of reconstruction of the work.
الهام پورخانی
دیوارنگارههای کهن نشاندهنده پیشرفت و تمدن و فرهنگ در دورههای گذشته ایران است. بازماندههای فرهنگ گذشته را چنان ستایش میکنیم که از فرهنگ در زمان معاصر غافل شده و در خاطره اصالتهای تاریخی غرق میشویم تا فقدان تمدنی را که در حال حاضر نداریم جبران کنیم. دیوارنگارهها با ذهنیت نقاش معاصر، مرمت و تعمیر شده و نشاندهندهی تأثیر شگرف نقاشی دوران گذشته بر ذهنیت و زمانهای است که نقاش در آن زیست میکند. این آثار با رعایت قانون مرمت و بازسازی اثر متعلق به دوره صفوی، با تفاوت رنگ برای نمایان شدن دوره بازسازی اثر، انجام شده است.

Search is not an abstract concept but has a deep connection with the concept of lack and absence, and absence is the main driving force and motivation for search. The sense of loss and absence takes me on an inner journey that comes with the exploration of hidden layers of reality and an attempt to penetrate to its deeper dimensions. It is like entering a deep well or a dark place, in which I can get lost and detach from earthly realities. This collection didn't have an initial plan, and I have set out in the path of intuition and instinct influenced by romantic works. We can see unpredictable layers that are set in a precise order, but they may eventually disappear when we don't expect it. The audience cannot grasp a clear beginning and end.

جستوجو مفهومی مجرد و تک افتاده نیست بلکه پیوستگی عمیقی با مفهوم فقدان دارد و فقدان محرک و انگیزهی اصلی جستوجوگری است. حس فقدان مرا به سفری درونی میبرد که این سفر با کنکاش برای شکافتن لایههای پنهان واقعیت و نفوذ به ابعاد عمیقتر آن بهمثابه ورود به چاهی عمیق و مکانی تاریک است، تا بتوانم در آن ناپدید شوم و مرا از واقعیتهای دنیوی دور سازد. در شکلگیری این مجموعه طرح اولیهای وجود ندارد و در مسیر شهود و غریزه متأثر از آثار رمانتیک پیش رفتهام. در ادامه لایههایی غیرقابلپیشبینی با نظمی دقیق اتفاق میافتند و سرانجام ممکن است در جایی ناپدید شوند. آغاز و پایانی که در ذهن مخاطب مجال ساختهشدن نمییابد.
