* Neda Saeedi Unveils 'Monument of Oblivion: River of Lethe' at Klosterruine Berlin

Bavan Gallery is proud to announce that our represented artist, Neda Saeedi, has been selected to present a site-specific sound installation titled Monument of Oblivion: River of Lethe at Klosterruine Berlin. This exhibition will run from June 7, 2025, to April 26, 2026. The opening event is scheduled for Friday, June 6, 2025, at 18:00, featuring welcoming remarks from the artist and curators, followed by a DJ set by Hesam Ayat at 19:00.
In this immersive installation, Saeedi explores the dynamics of memory and erasure within historical spaces. Utilizing construction elements that symbolize perpetual cycles of building and dismantling, the work prompts reflection on how societies commemorate, exclude, or confront their pasts. The Klosterruine, a medieval monastery ruin in Berlin, serves as a poignant backdrop, embodying themes of permanence and absence.
An accompanying program of film screenings, sound performances, and readings will engage in artistic dialogue with Saeedi's installation, inviting audiences to delve deeper into the site's layered history and its contemporary relevance.
