Bavan gallery spent a year before its Official opening on researching and planning to find emerging artists who have had a long-term endeavor but yet have not been promoted by any gallery or institutions. Hence, we reviewed portfolios from tens of artists living in Iran and abroad. We have been looking for artists whose works in our opinion could represent new tendencies in Iranian contemporary art. We aim to promote artists who have been working for a long time to create new discourses on form and content. In another word, we try to exhibit works of artists who put an effort into reaching new achievements in both content and context. Concerning this vision, in its 1st participation in Teer Art Fair, Bavan gallery is pleased to present 6 artists who have tried to create their very own discourses regarding their views of form and shape, together with their stances on social and ontological terms.
