The world is made not from what has occurred, but from what might have been. What we have seen is merely one among countless possibilities; a fragment of a labyrinth that still conceals other paths within itself.
In this series, the image becomes a space where possible realities intersect; a place where elements from different worlds find their way into one another. Some appear as uniform, featureless silhouettes, suspended at a threshold between presence and absence. Forms begin to lose their certainty, one remains detached from the figure it once belonged to, another is emptied of its depth.
The material and condition of things are no longer fixed, a piece of fabric stands with the rigidity of paper, while a shadow defies its own logic. A world in which we remember the future and know nothing of the past.
This perspective began at an unseen threshold: the sound of a river heard beyond the high walls of a garden, without ever being seen. Each image in this series passes through such a passage; a place where one essence leads into another, and one time into another, without the boundary between them ever fully dissolving.
It is at these thresholds that imagination acquires its meaning‚not because it flees from reality, but because it offers a way of experiencing its vastness. What is found and what is imagined can no longer be easily distinguished from one another within the image.
